 The quality of your tattoo relies on the care it receives within the first 2 days. A tattoo usually takes about 2 weeks to heal completely and an additional 2 weeks for the scar tissue to settle. Keep the wrap on from 2 to 4 hours once tattoo has been completed, before removing and washing tattoo gently with clean, mild soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and gently pat dry with a clean towel. Do not re-bandage your tattoo after cleaning. Prevent from picking or scratching your new tattoo during the healing process, even though it will itch like hell. Do not use any alcohol based substance or peroxide and do not soak in bath or shower, get in and get out (no swimming until healed). Apply a THIN layer of ointment to tattoo on a daily bases to prevent getting too dry and cracked (eg. Zam-buk which is a natural, well priced antiseptic). |
 NOTE: Too much ointment will increase scabbing. If rashing occurs or redness continues, feel free to call us for suggestions. To preserve the life of your tattoo prevent from exposing your tattoo to direct sunlight without applying a high water resistant SBF ointment. |
